Griffins salvage a game with Jereb's arm
April 16, 2012 - After losing the first two games of a three-games series, the Fontbonne University men's baseball team beat Spalding University yesterday 8-3 on the strength of senior Jordan Jereb's pitching performance.
Fontbonne is now 12-16 overall and 9-4 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC).
The Griffins dropped the first two games of the series 3-1 and 12-4, but Fontbonne jumped on Spalding quick in the series finale. Fontbonne scored five runs in the first inning on five hits which was all Jereb needed. Jereb threw eight innings allowing just three runs on eight hits.
